Introduction to Using R for Healthcare Quality and Performance Improvement
Live, interactive, online sessions using webex
April 23 & 30, 2015: 12:00 - 1:30 PM ET
Early-Bird Deadline: April 3
This course is designed for analysts with experience in one or more business intelligence, reporting, and/or dash boarding tools but who are looking for a more robust tool that enables increased insight gained from healthcare-related data sources (such as electronic medical records, surveys, and even social media).
R (http://www.r-project.org) is one of the most popular software systems for data science and analytics owing to its expansive (and extensible) statistical and data visualization capabilities. R is an open-source software system with few financial and technical barriers to obtaining and using this robust tool for healthcare analytics. Healthcare data scientists and analytics professionals are increasingly adopting R for advanced reporting, knowledge discovery, and predictive applications.
Over the two sessions of this introductory course, the instructor will cover the essential concepts necessary for analysts to apply the capabilities of R to their own quality and performance improvement data analysis projects.
